After many years as a senior fashion buyer, product developer and branding manager for large retailers, Paula Punch now brings her extensive experience to market in a very bespoke way.

Paula has been a buyer for key department stores for most of her career and has been instrumental in the introduction of concept areas in department stores, new categories such as activewear and launching now-iconic brands.

As Women’s Upmarket Category Manager, at Grace Bros she was also able to mentor many young buyers and was a Judge in the Fashion Industry Awards.

Starting a fashion consultancy business in the mid 1990’s, Paula assisted many businesses including, in Product Ranging, Store Management, Merchandising, and Quality Control.

Her other senior buying positions included Australian retailers Rockmans, Big W, Speciality Fashion Group “1626”/”Autograph” for Plus Sizes and David Jones Women’s Mainstream Fashion.

These roles gave her a unique exposure to many different fashion markets and a wide experience in product development.

Until recently she was Private Label Manager at David Jones where she was responsible for Branding, Product Development and Sourcing for the Women’s, Men’s and Children’s Apparel, Accessories, and Shoes for all the store’s Private Label merchandise.

Since leaving David Jones, she has continued to support young designers as a frequent Judge for Graduating Students works at TAFE, and Raffles College, plus mentoring fashion marketing students while lecturing at Raffles and other Fashion Marketing Colleges in Sydney.

Paula continues her consultancy business Design Edit Group where she uses her broad experience to support other small business owners and to offer personal styling services.
